The International Citizen Service (ICS) programme is fully funded by the UK government and you receive a certificate from the UK government for completing the programme. Young people from the UK will travel to Nepal and work with you as part of a team of 12 volunteers – 6 Nepali and 6 UK plus 2 Team Leaders (1 Nepali/1 UK). You will be living and working with local communities in Makwanpur helping to deliver either our water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programme or supporting our livelihood programme.
Our adventurous expeditions bring together people from all over the world to create lasting change. In Nepal we focus on improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and strengthening livelihoods. The expedition also helps young people develop their leadership skills as well as building their confidence and transferable skills.
